Kanu nwankwo believes that Nigeria has the team to win 2014 worldcup in Brazil

Papilo as he's fondly called in Nigeria believes that on the back of the team's success at the last AFCON Cup, going far in Brazil next summer is a possibility as the team have got their sights set on winning the trophy in Brazil.

Great quality

The former Arsenal man in an interview with Goal believes the reigning AFCON champions have the team ethics and coaching quality to qualify for Brazil next summer and stage a shock.

-We are definitely going to the World Cup next year and we want to win the Cup for Africa. About the upcoming Malawi match, we are ready for it and we will do our best.

-We have a good squad that is competent enough to take us to the World Cup and make us shine on the world map.

-We want players who are hungry for success and players who will play for the country with pride and dignity. That is the main reason we have such a squad. Although we can still have experienced players, nobody owns a space, they all need to work hard.

-We have a great coaching team behind the players and that is what makes us the best in Africa. Kanu said.

Tough task ahead

For the coach Stephen Keshi led team to reach 2014 World Cup finals, they must not lose at home to Malawi on September 7 and then beat whoever they are drawn against in the knock-out round over two legs.
